Keith Kowalski – Affiliate Manager
After growing up in a suburb of Dallas, I went to Stephen F. Austin State University, a small school in east Texas, home of beautiful piney woods. While there I learned to love college athletics and I follow the Lumberjacks with ardent interest to this day. At SFA I majored in marketing and interned in the athletic department and also with Host Communications in their NCAA division.
After graduation from SFA, I accepted an internship in the Learfield Sports Dallas office assisting in financial reporting before being promoted to Marketing Specialist in August 2001. In April 2002, I was promoted to the Jefferson City office serving my first stint in affiliate relations. During my first tour in affiliate relations my greatest accomplishment was growing the Clemson Tiger Sports Network by eight stations, even though we were granted the rights to the property one month before kickoff.
In December 2002, I joined the staff at Beaver Sports Properties as an Account Executive and served a short stint in Corvallis before moving back to Texas to work for the Dallas Burn the following summer. While with the Burn I was charged with selling corporate season and group tickets around the metro-plex and handling various affinity events. After a year with the Burn, I moved over to the non-profit world as the Program Director for Special Olympics in Fort Worth. As the Program Director, I was in charge of organizing over thirty competitions and coaches’ trainings. Even more rewarding was working with amazing athletes, volunteers, and parents.
The desire to get back into collegiate athletics grew and I joined the affiliate relations team again in August 2007..
I live in Holts Summit with my spectacular wife and son who was born in January 2009.
